Featured Home Addition Project

The owners of this home craved additional space for a master suite with a walk-in closet, powder room, and family room that is now opened to the existing kitchen and dining room. We were able to add value to their home with an expansive 1500 square-foot addition in 5 months’ time.

A Smooth Construction Process

During the building process, Rasinski Construction takes over the hassle of obtaining all the required building permits and makes sure the addition complies with town zoning ordinances and restrictions. We also control all the moving parts in each step, from the pouring of foundation, framing and proper insulation.

New Spa-like Master Bathroom

It’s always a treat to complete a spa-like bathroom remodel, such as this. Some highlights of this master bathroom addition included a separate toilet area with urinal, dual vanity with makeup area, high volume ceiling, free standing soaking tub, open concept barrier free shower with multiple body sprays, large format porcelain tiles and radiant heated floors.

Additional Space to Play

Not only did this home addition include a new master suite, it also created additional family spaces, such as this built-in counter seating near a big screen and a living room around the corner. Underneath this structure is a still unfinished basement that will add even more value and fun to this expanded home once complete.

A Seamless Addition – Inside and Out

In order to create a seamless transition between the old home structure and new addition, a new roof, siding and cultured stone was added to the entire house.

Updating molding and trim

While this home did have picture frame molding on many of the open wall spaces, a new paint job was needed in these areas for a modern look. We also built up all the column surrounds with wider casings on all the windows/doors and added taller base trim.

Rasinski Construction is happy to report that many clients become repeat clients, as in the case of this home. Months after completing their 1500 square-foot home addition, we returned to do a small deck remodel on the original home structure as we are also a Trex Pro installer. Under the deck we used solid soffit material from CertainTeed to provide a dry covered space.

Phase 3: Finished Basement

Several years after this impressive expansion, Rasinski Construction was re-hired to complete the finished basement.
