After 19 years in their home, this Jackson, NJ couple decided it was time for a few layout changes and upgrades to their space! Rasinski Construction was called in to execute their vision with a new flow to their kitchen floor plan, the expansion of an adorable morning room, and the installation of a seamless hardwood floor.

Creating a Kitchen with Better Flow

To create the easy flow from the living room to the kitchen to the morning room, Rasinski Construction was tasked with the removal of the peninsula in the kitchen space, reworking the plumbing for the new sink and the lighting over the new island.

Moving the microwave to the island allowed for a new stainless-steel hood to be installed over the range, which is flanked with beautiful backsplash tile.

A large kitchen island offers plenty of seating, a new work surface with a large farmhouse sink and lots of entertaining space centered in this kitchen setup.

Creating a Seamless Transition for an Open Concept Feel

Previous to this remodel, these rooms had a mix of carpet, tile and hardwood floors and the morning room was cut off from the rest of the space with a small opening.

Now there is a seamless transition between all the rooms using a Bruce hardwood.

Coffee can now be enjoyed in this open and sunny morning room, complete with a new door to the back deck.

Passing our name to a friend is always a huge compliment and and even bigger one involves a rehire by the same family!
