When it comes to a modern kitchen, it’s all about the light! This Mercer County, New Jersey kitchen started with good bones and a decent space, but the dark kitchen cabinets and outdated flooring weren’t working for the homeowners. Rasinski Construction transformed the kitchen with modern cabinetry, new flooring and some tweaks to the layout – and it was all completed within just 2 ½ months.

Renovating the Kitchen Layout
In order to accommodate a wider dining room doorframe and cabinetry that was flush with the new refrigerator profile, the pantry was decreased and reconfigured. We were able to include a new, more efficient pantry organization system inside.
Addressing Uncovered Damage
During the demo, we found the front door and sub floor had water damage and both needed to be replaced.
A Clear Path to the Kitchen
The bathroom was reconfigured to allow for a new doorframe to open on a side hallway, instead of right in front of the kitchen for a cleaner entry.
A Short Remodeling Timeline
After only a few short weeks, we were able to modernize this open concept kitchen with 42” high cabinets, a full-length backsplash and new flooring that matched the first-floor level.
