We at Rasinski Construction love to work with our New Jersey neighbors, helping them make their home dreams come true and nothing makes us happier than returning to the home of a past client to help complete more of their vision.
Several years ago, we helped this Jackson, NJ home owner complete a kitchen remodel, which included a slight change to the footprint, expansion of a morning room and to add hardwood floors throughout. They were familiar with the Rasinski Construction building process and hires us again to add a 480 square foot home addition to serve as an in-law suite.
Permits Handled by Rasinski Construction
One of the perks of working with Rasinski Construction, is how we’ll handle the permit process from completing and submitting the applications, to scheduling of inspections and typically even being on site for said inspections. For this project, we retained Feldman & Feldman Architects to complete the drawing so we knew what inspections were required and when to avoid delays.
A Seamless Addition
We were able to match the siding and brick with the knowledge of where the products came from during in 2001.
Four finished rooms within 480 square feet
This home addition serves as a small single level living space for this family’s older generation and includes a living room area, bedroom, closet and large bathroom.
Careful attention was made to make all space feel useful and efficient, including a large closet system for organization. To help save space and not hinder movement when transitioning from the bedroom to the closet to the bathroom, pocket doors were used.
The bathroom is light and spacious, with dual sinks, a large walk in shower with seating, and a long shower cubby to hold their materials off the floor. The shower is “barrier free,” eliminating a traditional curb that requires you to step over. This provides seamless access via a walker or wheelchair.
